Overview This KHS Innoclean single-end bottle washer for returnable
glass bottles was built in 2007. It cleans and de-labels empty bottles
before filling: bottles are pushed into carrier-basket cells, run on
heavy roller chains through a pre-soak, two pre-warming baths, the
main caustic soak with under- and over-caustic label flushing, and
three water spray zones, then handed back onto the bottle conveyor at
discharge. Nineteen bottles run across the machine width in 4,275
cells; output range and design output are given below under Technical
data. At design output, total dwell time is 18.7 minutes, including
10.8 minutes of caustic contact. KHS modernised the drive and operator
station in 2022: Triple-i-Drive and a capacitive multi-touch panel
with RFID login, detailed under Equipment. A KHS manual supplement
dated November 2022 covers the upgrade. Technical data Manufacturer:
