Complete skid-mounted Tetra Pak Tetra Alcross Bactocatch MB
Microfiltration (MF) plant, type 1 x M74 / 1 x M19, manufactured in
2011 and specifically designed for hygienic dairy processing
applications., The Tetra Alcross Bactocatch system is designed for the
highly efficient removal of bacteria and bacterial spores from milk by
means of ceramic membrane microfiltration combined with High
Temperature Treatment (HTT) of the cream fraction. The process can
achieve a bacterial and spore reduction of up to 99.9999%, depending
on the product and operating conditions., The fully skid-mounted
installation is designed for continuous microfiltration of milk and is
suitable for applications including the reduction and removal of
bacteria and spores from skim milk, cheese milk and ESL milk, as well
as protein fractionation. The plant was previously operated for the
treatment of skim milk for the reduction and removal of bacteria and
spores., The MF section is equipped with Pall Corporation ceramic GP
(Gradient Permeability) microfiltration membranes with a nominal pore
size of 1.4 µm. The membrane system is designed for a feed capacity
of approximately 7.535 litres/hour. Under the specified operating
conditions, the system produces approximately 75 litres/hour of
retentate and 7.460 litres/hour of permeate, corresponding to a
concentration factor (CF) of approximately 100., The installation is
designed for approximately 9 hours of operation between CIP cycles,
with an average filtration flux of approximately 229 l/(m²·h) at 50
°C., Installed power: ± 85 kW - 400 V - 50 Hz, The complete
installation is supplied as a stainless-steel skid-mounted processing
system and includes the membrane filtration section, product and CIP
piping, hygienic valves, instrumentation, pumps, control equipment and
associated process utilities., The Cream High Temperature Treatment
(HTT) section consists of a separate skid-mounted cream pasteurisation
unit, equipped with an Alfa Laval C6-SM plate heat exchanger, serial
number 30107-33658, manufactured in 2011. The cream pasteuriser
comprises 5 heat-treatment sections, centrifugal pumps, hygienic
valves, balance/level tank, indirect hot-water heating system and
interconnecting stainless-steel process piping., A highly attractive
and complete Tetra Pak membrane filtration installation for dairy
processors looking for a proven and compact MF solution for skim milk
treatment, cheese milk processing, bacterial and spore reduction, ESL
applications and/or protein fractionation., The complete skid-mounted
configuration offers a practical solution for integration into an
existing dairy processing facility and provides a well-proven Tetra
Pak technology for hygienic membrane filtration applications.,
